Recycling
Recycling is the ecological optimum within waste management due to the refeeding into the circle of material. However, waste quality nearly always has to meet high requirements and sometimes a complex (lightweight packaging) and energy-consuming (glass melt) processing has to be performed. After all, a substantial prerequisite for the use of these secondary raw materials is the economical and/or ecological advantage of the overall process. Recycling can be used directly for the production of a new product or as feedstock recycling for chemical processes (beneficiation of steel).
